Study On Documents By Li Hongzhang Written In The Westernization Movement

Li Hongzhang was one of masters of the official documents in the late Qing Dynasty.During the Westernization Movement,he used the communication medium of official documents to elaborate the measures and thoughts of dealing with related matters in Westernization Movement.Through the analysis of the text of the official document,we can find that Li Hongzhang's focus is mainly focused on three aspects of military,economic and diplomatic aspects.In the military,Li Hongzhang firstly set up factories,such as Jiangnan manufacturing Bureau,Jinling machinery manufacturing Bureau,pay attention to the problem of the development of military people,in addition to the positive research and buy Western weapons,in order to achieve the goal of self-improvement;secondly to promote coastal construction,the establishment of the Northern Navy,established the northern army policy,through the analysis of on the geographical situation,select the appropriate naval base,and a large number of trained personnel for coastal defense construction.On the economic side,through the establishment of modern enterprises,which take the official and governor business as the starting form,and contend with the westerners for the right of profit,in order to achieve the goal of seeking wealth.In foreign affairs,in order to safeguard national interests as the starting point,the basic policy and Dijon diplomacy,for some countries adopt a flexible strategy to restrict them,create a peaceful international environment for domestic rich target for self-improvement.In addition to the analysis of the content of the document,the writing of this article is also related to the form of the official document,including two aspects of the structure layout and the use of language.Through the analysis of the contents and forms,the historical significance of the thought and the influence of the writing skills on the modern document writing tare expounded.
