A Report On The Translation Of Employment Act

This report uses Skopos theory as guidance to probe into the translation techniques and methods of Employment Act of Bahamas.The author believes that the translation of legal texts which based on Skopos theory is effective and has strong practicality and operability.This report discusses the guiding significance of German functionalist theory in the translation of legislative texts and studies the relations between and among the three rules.In the process of translation,a variety of translation techniques and methods are flexibly used to meet the target audience and the important guiding function of Skopos theory to legal translation is emphasized.Meanwhile,it points out that Skopos theory needs to continue to enrich and develop,and hoping to have some references to other translators who study the same kinds of text.
