In today's information age,with the development and popularization of computer technology,multimedia courseware has gradually become a common medium in our primary school English teaching.Multimedia courseware,with its audio-visual and interactive functions,has built a bridge between book and life,and it has greatly promote the reform and development of primary school English teaching.However,multimedia courseware is only a more advanced tool for teaching information presentation.Like other teaching media,there are some problems when it is used.So how to understand the auxiliary role of multimedia courseware correctly is the problem that primary school English teachers need to think continuously during the teaching.Therefore,it is necessary to research the application of multimedia courseware in primary school English teaching and how to solve the existing problems.The research's reasons of this paper is that it can beneficial for primary school English teachers to understand the auxiliary role of multimedia courseware rationally,and to provide theoretical basis and practical suggestions for its teaching activities.What's more,it defines the connotation of multimedia and multimedia courseware,and analyzes the characteristics of multimedia courseware and primary school English teaching,and summarizes the domestic and foreign research on multimedia courseware assisted foreign language teaching,and expounds the theoretical basis of multimedia courseware assisted foreign language teaching.In this study,it takes the teachers and students of a primary school as the research object,through classroom observation and interviews,conducted a survey about the use of current multimedia courseware in English teaching of Primary school.Through the data analysis of survey results,this paper summed up effective application about the current-multimedia courseware in English teaching of Primary school.It mainly shows that multimedia courseware can stimulate students' interest in learning and improve teaching quality,create real language environment and relaxed atmosphere,breakthrough the key and difficult points and improve the efficiency of classroom teaching,broaden their horizons and enrich the curriculum resources and so on four aspects.Of course,primary school English teachers also has a series of problems when they use the multimedia courseware in the teaching process,such as they depend on multimedia courseware too much and ignore the traditional teaching media,the courseware information is too much and ignore students'learning effect,courseware and the learning situation are disjointed and ignore students'subjectivity,the communication between teachers and students is weaken and ignore teachers' leading position and so on.For these problems,firstly,this paper think we should correct the auxiliary status of multimedia courseware,and emphasize the moderation principle,timeliness principle and appropriateness principle of multimedia courseware in English teaching.And then this paper puts forward some requirements on how to use multimedia courseware to assist primary school English teaching,including the design and production of multimedia courseware,the professional quality of teachers,and the organic integration with traditional media and so on.We should give full play to the auxiliary role of multimedia courseware in the primary school English teaching from different aspects,so as to improve the teaching quality of the primary school English class.
