A Project Report On Translatlon Of Jiangsu Province Yearbook 2016(chapter Twelve)

With the promotion of China's comprehensive national strength and the improvement of its international standing,the Chinese government has proposed a "go global" strategy.The people's government of Jiangsu province actively responded to the call,and organized the compilation of the yearbook of 2016 and its English translation.The author participated in the preliminary translation work of Jiangsu yearbook of Jiangsu province in 2017 and writes the thesis based on the project.This paper is a translation project practice and management report.Based on the actual situation of translation project management,the author analyzes the problems encountered in the implementation process of the project from the perspective of translation project practice and management,and puts forward relevant solutions to the problems in the process of project implementation.Based on the translation practice level,the report focuses on the issues of the unification of cultural loaded words and names of some political documents and the translation of long and complex sentences,uses various research methods,including literature analysis,comparative research and case study to present how to solve these difficulties with proper translation skills.Based on the translation project management level,this report brings up the deficiencies in the translation project and proposes some modified proposals,so as to further improve the relevant work in the future.The author hopes to provide some reference for the future yearbook translation project in Jiangsu province in connection with his/her experiences in this translation project.
