With the rapid development of Chinese economy,Chinese has become popular and has been attached with great importance by many countries abroad,resulting in the phenomenon of Mandarin Craze.At present,more and more Confucius Institutes were set up all over the world.Therefore,proper teaching materials and outstanding teaching staff can no longer meet the requirements of the market.The market needs Chinese teachers to adopt the most appropriate teaching methods aimed at students with different levels.It will be the most efficient way and students can get the results they expected,which is much important to Chinese learners.There are plenty of teaching methods in the field of Chinese international education.Among these teaching methods,there are two methods that are widely applied.And these two methods are rather appropriate for college students learning Chinese,namely task-based teaching method and situational teaching method.This paper studies Chinese learners of pedagogy major and informatics major at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat Normal University through analyzing the characteristics of task-based teaching method and situational teaching method.First of all,this paper searches literature related to task-based teaching method and situational teaching method home and abroad in CNKI and refers to previous theses with the direction of teaching methods,laying theoretical foundation for this paper.Besides,in order to get to know and analyze changes on interests,status and effects before and after learning Chinese,the author conducts a survey in students at Thailand Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat Normal University.This survey is divided into two parts:before learning Chinese and after learning Chinese.Thirdly,this paper searches and analyzes examples combining task-based teaching and situational teaching,providing sufficient practical evidence.Then students take three exams based on what they have learned.The first examination is mid-term examination during six lessons.The second one is final examination after the six lessons.And the last one is oral examination.After that,their scores are sent to SPSS for detailed analysis,which approves what students can achieve after teachers combine task-based teaching method and situational method and whether combining of the two teaching methods is efficient.And finally this paper makes a conclusion.
