The study of Intermediate Language has been an important issue for teachers of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language(TCFL)and experts,different teaching approaches have their own point of views,some scholars have argued that Intermediate Language should not be used in teaching activities,but other people are against it and consider Intermediate Language as a effective measure in foreign language teaching.Under the development of China-Vietnam education cooperation,Guangxi hold the largest number of receiving Vietnamese students because its adjacent geographical location.In my teaching practice,I also undertake the Chinese courses for different stages,the usage of Intermediate Language has become the one of my teaching reflection.This article is based on the results of former researches,the questionnaire and interviews were done by some Vietnamese students in five universities.From the aspect of teaching stage,content and object,the author aim to provide some help and inspiration for TCFL through analyzing the survey data and teaching cases.This paper is arranged under five sections.The first chapter is the introduction,mainly on the significance of the article,the research of domestic and foreign scholars,the theoretical basis of the thesis,and the researching methods.The second chapter is the analysis part of survey results,includes students' language proficiency,the situation of teachers' language use,students' opinions and expectations.The third chapter is the analysis of teaching cases.I designed 2 groups of teaching cases,including using Chinese and using intermediate language.And I made a record about every part of teaching time,class performance and test results,it draw a conclusion about teaching effectiveness from different stages through this teaching practice.The fourth chapter is summarizing the teaching methods by previous survey and teaching cases.It includes application value of using English as the Intermediate Language in primary stage,advantages and disadvantages,using principles.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,summarizing the recommendations for the use of intermediate language and hopes the research results can do some help in TCFL development.Finally,there are still some deficiencies and limitations in the paper,which needs to modify and perfect constantly.
