Global economy has developed at a high speed,resulting in more frequent economic communication between the East and the West.So the translation of economic texts and other informative texts is getting more and more important.The translated texts must be accurate and of good quality so that cultural communication can be realized and economic experience exchanged.This report is based on the translation of the book The Customer Experience Edge complied by the Mc Graw-Hill company.As an economic text,it is formal,objective,concise,full of technical terms,nominalization structures,passive sentences and complex sentences.Under the guidance of the skopos theory,the report discusses the translation techniques of the original text by analyzing different examples.At the lexical level,techniques such as semantic extension,semantic variation,addition,omission,and conversion are demonstrated.At the syntactic level,turning the passive voice into active voice,combination and division as well as reframing sentence structure are illustrated.This translation practice provides experience for the translation of economic texts and has improved the author's competence of translation.
