| Chinese spoken words dictionary,as an extroversive dictionary,is used for the non-native Chinese speakers for the reference in their learning,which distinct itself from the introversive dictionary in word collection,paraphrasing,demonstration and stylistic layout.At present,there are few published dictionaries available for both the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and the self-study.And there are many problems exist in the published dictionary,including the appearance of introversive dictionary in the extroversive,loose standards for the word collection,less rigorous wording for the paraphrasing of the word,onefold exemplification and context as well as the pertinency in word usage,to some extent,cannot meet the demand in neither the self-study of Chinese learner nor the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.At present,much attention has been paid to the study of Chinese spoken and written words.And it is held that at the middle stage of Chinese teaching,stylistic feature teaching and learning,explanation as well as the distinction of the spoken and written Chinese words shall be emphasized.Base on the study of the existing Chinese spoken words dictionary,an assumption for the compiling of extroversive dictionary is proposed in this paper.Under such assumption,the following methods for the compiling of extroversive dictionary are suggested as well,including the principle of plain,common and understandable paraphrasing shall be adopted to tell the difference of extroversive dictionary and introversive dictionary;meta-linguistic paraphrasing,exemplification,contextual paraphrasing,and illustration shall be adopted in the paraphrasing;besides,the exemplification shall be enriched with standard wording and context.On the basis of the abovementioned principles,it is attempted in this thesis,with regard to the theory of extroversive dictionary editing,on the compilation of Chinese spoken words dictionary to facilitate Chinese learns of intermediate level. |
