Study On The Social Education In Jilin Area In The Period Of The Republic Of China (1912-1931)

In the early years of Qing Dynasty,the Qing Government practised the prohibition policy to the northeast region,led to the backwardness of education in that area.Since the Yingkou port opened,the economy in the Northeast had been made great progress.With the implementation of the new deal in the late Qing Dynasty,education reform aimed at opening up the wisdom of the people was gradually launched,the education industry had been unprecedented developed.In order to make up for the lack of schooling,the social education was gradually developed.This paper is based on previous studies and attempts to research the origin and development of the social education in Jilin area in the period of the Republic of China.The main part of the thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is about the development background of the social education in Jilin area in the period of the Republic of China.This part analyses the politics,economic,culture and thought of the society at that time which is closely related to the origin of the social education,then analyses the development background of the social education.The second chapter introduces the development of the social education in Jilin area in the period of the Republic of China from 1912 to 1931.First,this part discusses the relevant institutions' establishment and development,then divides the social education in Jilin area into two categories,and tries to describe the status of the social education in Jilin area in the period of the Republic of China from studying the two categories.The last chapter is about the influence and shortages of the social education in Jilin area in the period of the Republic of China from 1912 to 1931.This part first completely evaluates the influence of the social education,then summarizes the development shortages of it and rethinks its enlightenment to today's social education.
