This article is an English-Chinese translation report made of two parts: First, the translator has translated the introduction of The Power of Moments: Why Certain Experiences Have Extraordinary Impact and the first two chapters.Second, according to this translation,a translation report is written to analyze the translation methods used in this translation process. The Power of Moments was jointly written by the famous American writers Chip Heath and his brother Dan Heath. They use stories to reveal some facts about time and explain why some experiences have a profound impact on people, helping leaders and ordinary people create more "moments" and opportunities. The book was published on October of 2017 in the United States.Up till now, there is no Chinese version. In this thesis, the author uses eco-translatology proposed by Professor Hu Gengshen as theoretical support and adopts the “three-dimensional transformation” method to make adaptive selection and transformation of the text. The author tries to analyze the methods of English-Chinese translation from three dimensions--language,culture and communication. There are five chapters in this translation report: Chapter One,to introduce the translation task, including the background, significance, the authors, the work, the translation aims and the report structure;Chapter Two,to introduce the translation process, including preparation before translation,while-translation and proofreading after translation;Chapter Three,to introduce the theoretical background, philosophical basis and content of eco-translatology;Chapter Four is the central part, which will analyze some cases and discuss the translation methods from three dimensions--language,culture and communication;Chapter Five comes the summary of the translation task.
