English-Chinese Translation Of News Headlines From The Perspective Of Skopos Theory

With the global economy and cultural exchanges between China and the West continue to improve,people have shown strong interests in the trend of economic development.News,especially economic news,has become the most important source of information in daily life.In the face of all kinds of news reports,people often browse the headlines first and then decide whether to read the news.As the soul and eye of news,more and more attention has been paid to the translation of English news headlines,and the transmission of English economic news content has become a daunting task.The domestic research on the translation of English news headlines has just begun,mainly focusing on the linguistic characteristics and translation techniques of English news headlines,but few studies on the translation theory and application of economic news headlines have been carried out.Therefore,the writer tries to construct the theoretical framework of translation on the basis of skopos theory by taking the economic news headlines as the research object and the economic news as the main body.According to skopos theory,translation is a kind of action to achieve a certain purpose.The target reader is emphasized,not the original.In addition,the skopos theory holds that the purpose is to achieve a certain purpose.There are two basic functions of economic news headline translation: information function and aesthetic function.The main purpose of economic news headline translation is to transfer economic news from foreign media to Chinese readers.On the basis of fully considering the acceptability of the target readers and the factors affecting the translation of economic news headlines,some translation techniques can be realized,which can be applied to the translation of economic news headlines.
