The attributive clauses in Chinese is the same as the clauses in English.For instance,the English sentence“He is the first classmate I knew”translated to Chinese is“???????????”.“I knew”is an attributive clause in English,as“the first classmate”post-modification.Correspondingly,“???(?)”is an attributive clause,as“?????”pre-modification.This paper mainly studies the acquisition of Chinese attributive clauses in English-speaking learners,including their correct usages and error usages.This paper chooses more than four hundred English-speaking learners' s articles from HSK,finding out 217 correct sentences and 89 error sentences of attributive clauses then carefully analysis those.We find out that on their using attributive clauses features,the English-speaking students are inclined to using it to modificate the subject of sentence compared to that of object.Of modificating the subject of sentence,“main type”occupies to a larger proportion;of the verb phrase of the attributive clauses,the “verb” of it more than others.From their errors,the subject and object excess and missing of the “verb phrase”as attributive clauses are common errors: the situations of that they avoid using attributive clauses are more.The error reasons are often the attributive clauses itself having such much difficulties that many foreign learners have much trouble using it to express their real meanings.On the basis of the acquisition analysis,this paper puts forward to some related teaching suggestions.
