On commission of Guangzhou TeamLock Information Technology Co.,Ltd.?TeamLock for short?,the writer worked as an interpreter during the Special Seminar of the International Gamification Management Association on 20th March,2017.And this practice report is compiled based on this interpreting practice.TeamLock is an emerging company that provides new-style team building solutions to other enterprises.Nowadays,although gamification management is still an alien concept in China,many enterprises and organizations require such a new way of teambuilding since the Millenniums gradually step into work.These young people are bored of conventional teambuilding activities and are curious of emerging things.Therefore,employers,especially emerging SMEs,need gamification management to activate employees'interests and internal cohesion.Previously,TeamLock has entrusted a five-member research group of gamification management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign?UIUC group for short?to study on modes of gamification management that suit the Chinese market.The research covers range of application,paradigms of applying gamification management,catering customer services and so on.The report consists of five parts:task description,process description,theoretical framework of the interpreting evaluation,case analysis and conclusion.Task description mainly gives a brief introduction to the Special Seminar of the International Gamification Management Association,the participants,and the main content of this meeting.The second part,process description,introduces the whole process of interpreting from three aspects:pre-interpreting preparation,post-interpreting evaluation and interpreting work schedule.In the third part,the interpreter discusses the theoretical basis for assessing interpreting task in terms of major principles of skopos theory.In the fourth part,a case study is presented,trying to show how the theory guides the interpreting evaluation.In the final part,a conclusion is drawn by highlighting the major findings in the interpreting practice,limitation when finishing the interpreting practice and suggestions for future practices.
