The Qi culture,which bred between sea and sea,nurtured the people who survived for generations from the land and water,and agglomerated into a beautiful city-Zibo.Located in the central part of Shandong Province,Zibo City is located in the East China Plain,south of which is the Taiyi Mountain,the north is the Yellow River,the west is Jinan,the capital,and the east is Weifang and Qingdao.It is a group city with a long history and a combination of landscapes.Since the 18 th National Party Congress,the Zibo Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government have proposed the strategic development goals of the “Cultural City” based on the “Qi Culture” on issues such as the construction of Zibo City.In recent years,Zibo City has always adhered to the development spirit of the Industrial Transformation Demonstration Zone,developed cultural industries by building “Cultural Cities” for development goals,improved public cultural foundations,and integrated cultural tourism areas.Based on this,from the point of view of design art,this article attempts to research the visual image of urban brand in Zibo under the cultural background,aiming to establish a unified standardized visual design system for Zibo city’s brand image building within the “Cultural City” strategic development target building system.In order to achieve the effect of enhancing the city’s influence on the outside world and improving the city’s cohesion,the innovative visual communication effect.This research uses the theoretic methods of art design,semiotics,and brand communication to carry out a review of the literature on the creation of the required image of the city brand visual image and the definition of relevant concepts.It is intended to explore the theoretical considerations of the visual design of urban brands from the theoretical perspective..In addition,from the perspective of urban brand culture and visual symbols,this article discusses the exploration of urban brand culture and the ways and methods of visual symbol extraction.Based on the regional culture concept of Qi Culture,this paper expounds the positioning and principles of the visual image design of Zibo City Brand,and lays a theoretical foundation for the creation,dissemination and application of Zibo City Brand visual image under Qi Culture.At the end of the article,through the visual image system design practice,the Zibo city brand under the Qi culture was effectively displayed,which contributed to the sustainable economic development of Zibo City.
