This is a Chinese-English translation practice report based on the text of The Selected Tour Commentaries for Heilongjiang Tourist Attractions(Chapter Six).With the rapid development of the international tourism industry,the demands for city publicity,tourism publicity,and culture publicity are increasing day by day,the translation of publicity materials is an important activity for cross-cultural communication in the regional areas and even the whole country.It is also a business card for the world to know about the local places in China and plays a vital role in promoting regional tourism,attracting investment partners,and stimulating regional economic development.Therefore,the translation quality of the publicity materials plays an important part in disseminating and exchanging regional culture.However,at present,the translation materials of foreign publicity for global communication in our province still need to be perfected and many problems still exist in quality.So under the guidance of communicative translation theory,the author writes this translation practice report to expound and discuss the difficulties and strategies adopted by the translator in the course of the C-E translation activities by using the theory of translator's subjectivity,on the one hand,the author hopes to show the foreign readers the delicacy and specialty in Heilongjiang province and better publicize the local economy and culture as well as forming good image of china all over the world.On the other hand,she expects that the translation strategies summarized in this translation practice can be applied to other translation work in the future.This translation practice report is divided into four parts: chapter one is the introduction to the translation task,which consists of the introduction and task requirements to the client,the main contents and the significance of the translation.Chapter two is the description of the translation process,in which the author describes the process in three stages,by the order of pre-translation preparation,translation process and the post translation.Chapter three is the most important part of this practice report,and the author mainly analyzes the difficulties and solving strategies from three perspectives: the translator dynamic subjectivity,translator's aesthetic awareness and the translator's intercultural consciousness,and in each perspective,the translator selects practical examples for case analyses and proposes corresponding solving strategies.The last chapter is the reflections and enlightenments.In this chapter,the author summarizes some limitations of the translation practice report and several basic qualities that a qualified translator should own in the future.The author sincerely hopes that this translation report can boost the development of Heilongjiang tourist attractions and provide meaningful references for translating the tourism text.
