Every scientific field or discipline has its own terminology system. The term is the symbol reference of the concept in the professional field.Terminology plays an important role in the cross culture communication.Nowadays, except for local terminology, most Chinese terminology originated from foreign languages. The research on the translation of foreign terminology mainly focuses on the translation principles, strategies, standardization and so on.The standardization of terminology in China started from the Pre-qin theories in the warring states period, even though,in the current terminology translation, there still non-standard phenomenon exists. The aim of this paper is to discuss the translation of wine terminology in Chinese. As there is a single referential relationship between terms and concepts, the terms have a singular attribute in a specific scope, that is,a term only represents a professional concept within a specific discipline or field. However,in the process of Chinese naming for foreign terms, the monosemy of terms is often difficult to be realized. The main cause of this phenomenon is the cognitive difference of the subject as an individual and the choice of translation methods. However, monosemy of term can be carried out in a specific area, this paper embarks from the term "relative monosemy",classify the four types of terms by wine brewing technique terms,wine-tasting terms, wine grape terms and wine classification terms, and finally provide a name for the above four types of terms. This paper is mainly divided into five chapters. The first chapter describes the translation projects, which are mainly divided into the background, content, significance and process of this translation project. The second chapter makes a classified review of the standardization studies of term translation at home and abroad, and puts forward one of the ways to achieve the standardization of terms, which is the "relative monosemy" attribute of terms. The third chapter gives a brief overview of the most popular wine introduction books in China. At the same time,it also summarizes the current research on the translation of wine terms and provides theoretical basis for the standardization principles proposed in fourth chapter. The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the translation of four types of wine terms, and adopts corresponding translation strategies according tothe characteristics of the current translation of various terms, and finally provides the corresponding reference naming for each case.Chapter five is the last chapter of this paper, which is mainly a practical and theoretical summary of the translation report. In comparison with western countries,China's wine industry is still not well developed. The corresponding discipline construction still needs to be perfected and terminology standardization in the field is one of the key problems.Although the terminology "relative monosemy" can be used as one of principle to realize the standardization of terminology, but how to use the computer technology to manage and translate the terminology to achieve the standardization of terminology requires in-depth study in the future.
