Linguistic Research Of Calligraphy Terms In Tang Dynasty

Calligraphy in tang Dynasty is a peak in the development history of calligraphy.The academic research on Tang Dynasty calligraphy mainly focuses on aesthetics and art,and the research on calligraphy terms is limited to the translation of terms and the interpretation of aesthetic terms.There are few achievements from the linguistic perspective of tang Dynasty calligraphy terms.This paper takes the tang Dynasty calligraphy terms as the research object,takes the tang dynasty calligraphy theory as the main corpus source,collects and sorts out the Tang Dynasty calligraphy terms,altogether selects 490 calligraphy terms;With the help of Chinese Dictionary,Ci Yuan,Ci Hai and other reference books,this paper analyzes and interprets some calligraphy terms from the perspective of linguistics.Based on the knowledge of terminology and lexicology,this paper probes into the formation mode,language characteristics,the relationship between name and reality of calligraphy terms in the Tang Dynasty and the norms of calligraphy terms.The thesis is divided into six chapters.Chapter one is the introduction,which introduces the reason of the topic selection,research significance,research methods and research status of calligraphy terms.Then it explains the corpus source of tang dynasty calligraphy terms and defines calligraphy terms based on terminology.The second chapter divides the tang Dynasty calligraphy terms into eight categories according to the characteristics of calligraphy terms,including stroke style,stroke meaning,style,calligrapher’s appellation,comment,allusion and others.Some of the terms are selected for analysis and interpretation,and the meaning sources of the terms are explained in combination with reference books,and the collection situation of tang Dynasty calligraphy terms in reference books is compared.The third chapter analyzes the formation of terms in tang Dynasty,that is,borrowing common language and creating new words.On the one hand,the calligrapher endowed the common language with new calligraphic meanings and made it have new meanings.On the other hand,new words are created through grammatical formation,reduction and rhetoric formation.The term system of Tang Dynasty calligraphy was constructed from these two ways.The fourth chapter discusses the linguistic characteristics of tang dynasty calligraphy terms from various angles.The fifth chapter analyzes the relationship between name and reality in the tang Dynasty calligraphy terms,and puts forward some thoughts on the standardization of terms in view of the large quantity and complexity of calligraphy terms and their vague meanings.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,is the tang Dynasty calligraphy terminology linguistics research summary.
