In today's society, economy is developing rapidly, and science and technology is innovating constantly. The"sharing economy"model has gradually entered people's field of vision, being a force that cannot be ignored in people's lives, and has become an important means of interconnecting the global economy. As a result, the demand for translation of economic text is increasing. The economic text features professional word selection, complex sentence pattern, and strict logic. As a new economic form, the sharing economy also stands out in its new words,so these features all have put forward higher requirements for the translation of economic text. This translation practice is based on the article "Does Sharing Mean Caring?Regulating Innovation in the Sharing Economy" by Sofia Ranchordas from Leiden University and it was selected from Minnesota Journal of Law,Science and Technology. The article mainly introduces the rapid development of the sharing economy, analyzes the real problems hindering the development of the regulatory system, and proposes that laws and regulations should be revised accordingly.Constructive opinions on improving the regulatory system to ensure the sound development of emerging industries have important implications for China's innovative industry regulatory system. Therefore,we must pay more attention to the translation of such economic text. This report introduces the Skopos Theory proposed by Hans Vermeer into the practice of Chinese translation of the economic text.During the translation practice, the problems encountered mainly involves three aspects:word selection, sentence formation and style of writing. The translator uses the Skopos Theory as the guiding principle, combines the characteristics of economic text, quotes fair examples in the text, and analyzes the problems from three major aspects:lexical level, syntactic level and discourse level. As for problems met in the process, the translator uses effective translation strategies such as conversion, amplification, transliteration, literal translation, free translation and communicative translation to ensure the accuracy and readability of the target text. The Skopos Theory has great significance for guiding the translation of economic text in the process. In the forthcoming translation practice, translators are required to give top priority to the purpose of translation in choosing strategies so as to ensure the validity of target texts.
