Research On The Construction Of Social Identity From The Perspective Of Adaptation Theory

Recent years,Social identity construction have become the important subject of sociolinguistics research,and its research is in line with the trend of contemporary sociolinguistics research.The paper discusses the specific categories of Fang hongjian's social identity and how to choose and present the social identity in different social situations.The Adaptation Theory holds that speakers' language choice in different contexts has dynamic compliance.Using the Adaptation Theory can clarify the adaptation process of Fang Hongjian' identity constructionThe paper taking the Fortress Besieged as the source of Corpus,and discusses the construction process of Fang hongjian's social identity under the perspective of Adaptation Theory.The paper mainly includes four parts.The first part is the introduction,including the review of relevant theoretical documents,research significance,research methods,and Corpus sources.The second part introduces the definition and classification of social identity,and determines that Fang hongjian's social identity is the identity of lover,friend,relative,teacher,colleague,and intellectual,also introduces the linguistic construction process of these social identity.The third part uses Adaptation Theory to explore the adaptation process of Fang hongjian's social identity construction,including context adaptation,pragmatic principle adaptation,speech behavior adaptation,topic adaptation and structure adaptation.The fourth is the conclusion,summarizing the hole text mainly.Fang Hongjian plays the identity of lover,friend,relative,teacher,colleague,and intellectual.These six social identities can be constructed through certain types of language practice,indicating that the process of social identity construction is accompanied by language use.and its construction.From the perspective of Adaptation Theory,Fang Hongjian constructed corresponding social identities by adapting different factors,including contextual adaptation,pragmatic adaptation,verbal adaptation,topic adaptation,and structural adaptation,so as to achieve the purpose of communication.Fang hongjian's social identity has multiplicity and complexity,and different language choices construct different social identities.Social identity is the result of choice,and its selection process reflects tdionhe adaptation process to different factors.
