Since the implementation of the relevant policies on reform and open,China's economy has developed rapidly and its comprehensive national strength has been continuously enhanced.This has not only steadily improved China's international status,but also spurred the enthusiasm of people around the world to learn Chinese.Cambodia is no exception as one of the best relations between Southeast Asia and China.With the continuous deepening of political,economic,cultural and other exchanges between China and Cambodia,the needs of the Cambodian people to learn Chinese are increasing.However,for a long time,most of the relevant theories on Chinese teaching in Southeast Asia have focused on in a few countries,such as Thailand,the Philippines,and Malaysia,it ignores the typical Cambodia: it has the characteristics of the whole Southeast Asia and its own unique features.Throughout the overall education of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages in Cambodia,there is only one Confucius Institute in the Royal Academy of Sciences established in cooperation with Jiujiang University in Jiangxi province.It has a short time and few independent students.But the Chinese schools in Cambodia has a long history and nearly70,000 students.It is the mainstay and guides the mainstream teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages in Cambodia.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the problems existing in the Chinese education of Chinese schools and propose countermeasures for the entire teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages in Cambodia.This paper will analyze the current situation of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages in Cambodia,find out the problems existing in it,and then analyze the causes of the problems and propose feasible suggestions one by one in order to promote the development of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages in Cambodia.
