In the process of contact with peer groups, individuals will feel various pressures.Peer stress refers to the subjective experience of pressure experienced by an individual in the process of thinking and acting in accordance with peer's rules, which is influenced by peers or peers, thus making a certain behavior that is not the individual's will(Clasen,& Brown,1985).There are positive and negative peer pressure.Positive peer pressure can promote the good development of adolescents, while negative peer pressure can make adolescents fall into unhealthy activities, and then affect their physical and mental health. The study points out that junior high school students are in the early stage of adolescent development.Their self-awareness and judgment are not mature yet. They are most vulnerable to negative peer pressure, and the degree of impact is the greatest(Cousino,& Klostermann,2010).Previous studies have shown that negative peer pressure has a negative impact on adolescents' mood, behavior and academic performance(Boehnke,K.,2008).In view of this, this study investigates the current situation of peer pressure among junior high school students, develops a theme-based psychological course intervention program to improve junior high school students' ability to resist negative peer pressure, and tests the effectiveness of the negative peer pressure intervention program. This study consists of four parts. The first part is literature review and questions. It mainly combs the related content of peer pressure through literature to prepare for empirical research. The second part is empirical research, which includes three sub-studies: Study 1takes 447 junior middle school students in Jinan as the research object, and investigates the current situation of peer pressure.Based on the revised peer stress questionnaire by Li Yun,a domestic scholar, and six dimensions of the questionnaire, namely, violation of discipline, study life,after-school life, family activities, interpersonal interaction and heterosexual interaction, the intervention program of thematic psychological course was developed to improve junior high school students' ability to resist negative peer pressure. Finally, based on the pre-test and post-test design of the experimental group and the control group,Study 3implements the intervention program in the experimental class and evaluates the effect of the intervention program. The third part is a comprehensive discussion and educational suggestions. It discusses the related contents of the first two parts and gives educationalsuggestions. The fourth part is the conclusion of the study. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1.Most of the peer pressure felt by the students in the first grade of junior middle school comes from negative events, and 65% of the students feel the influence of the peer pressure at the middle or above level.2.The peer pressure level of male students is higher than that of female students, and there is no significant difference in whether the only child is born or not.3.Compared with the control class, the ability of the experimental class to resist negative peer pressure was significantly improved after implementing the intervention program of negative peer pressure.4.Course feedback and semi-structured interviews with students in experimental classes show that students are more satisfied with the effectiveness of the intervention and give a positive evaluation. Thus,we can improve students' ability to resist negative peer pressure by breaking discipline, learning life,after-school life, family activities, interpersonal communication and heterosexual communication. The negative peer pressure program developed in this study can be directly applied to the practice of mental health education for junior high school students, and has important significance and value for the healthy development of junior high school students' physical and mental health.
