Recent years,Vietnam – China's trade and investment cooperation has been developing deeply.More and more Chinese multinational companies have increased investment and expanded trade between the two countries.This helps provide more space for Chinese application market.In order to help Vietnamese labour overcome their language barriers and improve professional competitiveness,many essential researches combined with related documents have been conducted thoroughly by the author for further in-depth study about Chinese application in Vietnam business,mainly Ho Chi Minh city.The adaptation of social requirements is at the center of the study,primarily investigate Chinese firms in Vietnam or Vietnamese companies that have cooperated with China,in which the respondents are Chinese personnel and management levels of the company such as leaders,directors,managers,etc.Through actual surveys such as face-to-face interviews,phone interviews,email and online interviews,to deeply understand the situation of commercial Chinese language application in Vietnam.This study analyzed Chinese language market's development of Chinese trading companies,including the market demand for Chinese talents and human resources,which also used SWOT analysis to understand this market's supply situation.Through analyzing the survey results,discovering problems in the relationship of supply and demand of Chinese language application market of trading companies in Ho Chi Minh City: Firstly,the supply of qualified Chinese personnel does not meet market demand,they are always fluctuated,and extremely unstable,lack of good Vietnamese Chinese speaking staff;Secondly,the level of Chinese language skills of different sources will vary,while Chinese personnel will mainly come from language centers and universities.However,the Chinese language ability of these does not meet the requirements;Thirdly,Chinese language basic skills have not been comprehensive,most companies require employees to master the four skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing.In fact,the number of employees satisfied this is not much;Last but not least,there is a huge difference between learning and applying Chinese in practice,knowledge provided from books cannot meet requirements,in communication,employees' expression and reflection are not flexible,even making errors,etc.This survey shows that the application of commercial Chinese language needs to be combined between required basic skills and other soft skills in commercial business,such as communication,negotiation skills,etc.The author recommends that based on market requirements,staffs should obtain Chinese language qualifications and foster relevant soft skills;The teaching of Chinese language should mainly focus on enhancing four skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing;More intensive training in knowledge of commercial Chinese language,proposing to improve the quality of commercial Chinese language teaching at universities and foreign language centers;Specifically,in teaching,it is necessary to apply many modern teaching methods such as case-study method,framework method and ICT to help learners gain in-depth practical knowledge,improve language application and soft skills that are practically required for those.Besides,in the educational aspect of Vietnamese talents' training,it is recommended that learners should actively study and take charge of managing their own learning;propose to strengthen the study creation of extracurricular activities.
