With the vigorous development of the socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics and the continuous reform of education,the increasing number of public and private schools and the increasing requirements of the masses for the quality of education,education is gradually stepping out of the past shortage era and entering the era of competition.Brand image is an important part of a school’s comprehensive competitiveness.A good brand image can better enhance a school’s awareness,competitiveness and cohesion.Therefore,the building of the school’s brand image has become an important way for the school to improve its core competitiveness.Campus brand image mainly includes three aspects: school concept identification,visual identification and behavior identification.This research mainly discusses the visual recognition system of school.In this study,Pierce semiotics ternary theory,three types,three branches of the system theory research,and the enterprise identification system was inspired to apply to the school business philosophy,to create a unique school identification system.Starting from the ternary theory of "representative-object-interpretive item" in pearce’s semiotics,this paper expounds the design and application of elementary school signs from three types of signs: image signs,indicator signs and symbolic signs,combining with children’s physical and mental development characteristics,and through the aspects of pragmatics,semantics and pragmatics.On the basis of this research,we further explore the application of semiotics in primary school visual recognition system.This paper expounds the construction principles of the elementary school visual image symbol system from three aspects: the artistic features of the elementary school visual image reflect the beauty of language form,the semantic expression of the cultural connotation of the elementary school visual symbol and the pragmatic unity of the school sign system design.Five primary school visual identity design strategies are proposed: to strengthen the school visual symbol modeling rules,to highlight the cultural connotation of symbol semantic communication,to highlight the shape of school mascot symbols,to strengthen the coordinated application of color design symbols and to improve the pragmatic expression of regional symbols.Finally,taking the practice project of visual identification design of taizhou xueyuan road primary school as an example,based on Pierce’s semiotics theory and combining with the cultural characteristics of the school,this paper designs the basic elements by means of linguistic and semantic methods,and finally extends to office supplies,advertising,regional space design and mascot design.It demonstrates the feasibility of putting forward principles and strategies in a prudent way and provides theoretical support and reference for the visual recognition system of primary schools. |
