| This thesis consists of three parts,including the source text,the target text and the translation report.The source text is taken from Civic Myths: A Law-and-Literature Approach to Citizenship(Chapter 6).Based on China Men,and some law cases such as Wong Kim Ark as well as the civic myths of American founding fathers,this chapter,in perspective of law and literature,focuses upon how the immigrant citizens especially American Chinese acquired the citizenship.Under the guidance of Skopos Theory,the translator solved some translation problems meanwhile the target text also has some references to current issues of the immigration citizen.In the translation report,the translator analyzed how Skopos Theory are utilized from the lexical,syntactical and textual level,which is expected to provide several enlightenments and references on related text translation. |
