As an important place for the discovery of Han Dynasty portraitstones in northern Shaanxi and western Shanxi,the number of Han Dynasty portrait stone is rich and rich in content.It is of great significance for studying the funeral customs and social culture of the Han Dynasty in northern Shaanxi and western Shanxi.At present,the academic circles have studied more on the division,staging,classification,carving techniques and funeral customs of Han Dynasty portraitstones in northern Shaanxi and western Shanxi.However,the systematic research on folk beliefs is not enough.Therefore,it is necessary to combine the archaeological materials and related literatures,and use the methods of double evidence and comparative analysis to combine the mythological research to explore the folk beliefs in the Han Dynasty portraitstones in northern Shaanxi and western Shanxi.The study finds that the mythology of Han Dynasty portrait stones in northern Shaanxi and western Shanxi is very rich,and the content of folk beliefs reflected is also rich.The first person in the body is the western king,the head of the ox head,the prince,the head of the chicken,the head of the ox,and the head of the bear.The Han Dynasty portrait stone in this area,represented by the human threshold,reflects the local people's worship of the beasts and the local characteristics.Like Shandong,Henan,Northern Jiangsu,and Sichuan-Chongqing,the concept of immortality is also the main content of the Han Dynasty portraitstones in northern Shaanxi and western Shanxi.Frontier development,population migration,local culture and other factors have also had an important impact on the content of folk beliefs on the Han Dynasty portrait stone in northern Shaanxi and western Shanxi,so that the folk beliefs reflected in the Han Dynasty stone in the area have distinct regional characteristics and Consistent belief content in other regions reflects the diversity of Chinese culture.
