As an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,address terms are not only the indispensable communicative discourse in the daily life of foreign students,but also the major difficulty and obstacle for them to learn Chinese.Compared with kinship terms,social address terms have more complex linguistic systems,distinctive advantages in being applied to various occasions and more confusing categories.There are quite a lot social address terms in Chinese Course,which has left many difficulties for foreign students in their acquisition of Chinese language.As a universal textbook featuring high frequency and wide coverage,the study of it is of great significance.Therefore,this paper focuses on the teaching of social address terms in Chinese Course,hoping to make efforts for the further development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and to provide references for the wide spread of Chinese culture.On the basis of previous theoretical explorations,data analysis and teaching practice,this paper uses questionnaire survey,comparative analysis and inductive summary to study the bibliographic format and teaching methods of social address terms.The specific contents are as follows:Firstly,the predecessors' findings are sorted out from the aspects of ontology research,comparative research and research on teaching Chinese as a foreign language,It is concluded that the ontological and contrastive research on social address terms is fruitful and the research theories tend to be mature.However,the research on teaching Chinese as a foreign language is relatively immature,lacking in research theories and experience,and many research results still need to be verified by practice.Secondly,by redefining the relevant concepts,address system can be divided into 7 categories according to name,occupation and status,social intercourse,social relation,modest and honorific title,fictive use of kinship terms and others,The grammatical features,pragmatic rules and communicative scenes of each type are also explained.Thirdly,through the comparison with The Vocabulary of Chinese Standard and the outline of Chinese Characters,it is found that there are some problems in the compilation of social address terms,such as low repetition rate,incomplete lexical categories and confusing word order.Fourthly,according to questionnaire survey,it is aware that foreign students are prone to language errors,such as pragmatic failures,confusion,substitution and over-generalization when learning and using social address terms.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions on the revision of bibliographic format of Chinese Course from the aspects of word order,part of speech and repetition rate,and provides references for the teaching of social address terms by combining classified teaching,situational teaching and cultural teaching.
