Study Of Western And Nanyang Zhuzhi Ci In Modern China

As a traditional form of poetry expression,Zhuzhi Ci,originally singing local customs,has been widely popular in Modern Overseas writing,due to its easy-to-understand,slang and witty characteristics.Since the late Qing Dynasty,Zhuzhi Ci has adapted to the development of the times,and has been widely remembered.Poetry preserves history and sings about new things overseas,which provides us with a window to understand foreign culture and the modern world.Among them,there are a large number of Zhuzhi Ci writing Europe,America and Nanyang,which have a wide range of narrative content and abuntant dissemination channels.Through these texts,we can not only see the different exotic customs of “Western” and “Nanyang”,explore the overseas observation perspective of scholars behind the rich content,but also can touch upon the Chinese perspective of these overseas visitors when they see the world.As intellectuals deeply influenced by Chinese traditional culture and Confucianism,when they entered the foreign cultural system,their performance inevitably was influenced by the Chinese culture.What would they adapt to? What would conflict with it? Their mentality and views are influenced not only by traditional ideological education,but also by identity,status,age,experience and personality.In addition,it is also worth pondering why overseas Zhuzhi Ci has been carried forward in modern times and what breakthroughs and innovations it has compared with the previous Zhuzhi Ci.To explore the “modernity” of overseas Zhuzhi Ci,it is necessary to study how writers try to expand the boundaries of Chinese poetry language in the form of Zhuzhi Ci,and how to write their own foreign cultural experience between classical and modern,so as to clarify tis value and significance in literary history.
