| A large number of overseas Chinese investment in Modern Times is a very striking phenomenon, especially,the real estate in several cities of overseas Chinese hometowns in Guangdong Province gathered a large number of Foreign Capital in Modern Times.Overseas investment in real estate whether the total quantity or the households occupied the first place, Therefore, the study for overseas Chinese capital in the real estate in the major cities of overseas Chinese hometown of Guangdong is particularly important. Through the analysis of local archives and gazetteers, this article did a preliminary study of the overseas Chinese's investment in real estate in the major cities of overseas Chinese hometown of Guangdong province in modern times, from the views of regional historical geography. On this basis, the article also analysized such real estate's impact on the development for the cities of overseas Chinese hometowns.This paper consists of four parts:introduction,body,conclusion.As the main structure of the body,the following parts will be discussed.The first part,from the basics of natural and human geography of several major gathering area of overseas Chinese hometowns in Guangdong province for the survival and development, and on this basis, the main research has led to the internal and external reasons for the formation of several large clusters of Overseas Chinese hometown in Guangdong province,then also analyzed the distribution of overseas Chinese. The second part through the study of types of real estate in the overseas Chinese hometown can be seen that the diversity features of investment. The third part mainly through the analysis of the data related to real estate investment, overseas investment in real estate will be divided into four stages, namely initial period, prosperity, declined and recovery phase, each period has its own characteristics. The fourth part mainly from two aspects,the data and the type,to probe the regional differences in real estate investment and investment focus of transfer characteristics, on this basis,analyzed the cultural backgroud of regional differences in production of real estate investment. The fifth part is the focus of the article,several cities of overseas Chinese hometown as representative example,from different aspects discussed the important role of real estate on the promotion of urban development.Based on the preliminary discussion on the situation of overseas Chinese investment in real estate in major overseas Chinese hometowns, to strengthen the awareness of the importance of overseas Chineses Capital in the urban development, so as to provide a useful reference in the new round of urban development in Qiaoxiang areas.
