On The Sound And Sound Of Buddhist Ritual In Dailuoding Temple Of Wutai Mountain

Located in Taihuai Town,Wutai Mountain,Shanxi Province,Dailuoding Temple is an ancient temple with unique features.Although it is a temple in North of China,it is a "Southern Melody System" used in actual Buddhist activities.It makes the Dailuoding Temple special among Wutai Mountain.Moreover,the Temple is also well-known for Manjusri Bodhisattva from five mountains.So It is also called Xiaochaotai(a small worship altar).Even more there are some ideas when you reach Dailuoding Temple,it is unnecessary for visiting the others.It highlights the particularity of Dailuoding Temple.The thesis consists of five parts: Introduction,History of Buddhist Music among Wutai Mountain,Annual Ritual of DaiLuoding Temple,Structure of Annual Ceremony Music of the Dailuoding Temple,Protection and Inheritance of Wutai Buddhist Music,and Conclusion.The introduction contains Background,Status,Content,Methods and Significance.Through the exposition,it expresses the original intention and practical significance of the author.The first chapter of the thesis introduces the history of Dailuoding,the historical changes and existence value of the Buddhist music in Dailuoding Temple among Wutai Mountain.The second chapter is to study the four major ceremonies of Dailuoding Temple for seven times,and to sort out the rituals of Buddhist Music and the important role of the Music.The third chapter by using the method of "description-interpretation" analyzes the form and characteristics of Buddhism Temple music in the basic theory of music.The fourth chapter is combined with the particularity of the Wutai Mountain religious culture to set the thesis focused on the protection and inheritance for the intangible cultural heritage,and propose the reasonable and feasible protection suggestions.The conclusion is focusing on the vicissitude of the four major ceremonies and the inadequacy of the thesis.Based on many information collecting,record the sounds of four representative Buddhist activities,compare and analyze with related documents on the development and changes of the sounds.For fully protection,make some suggestions and hope to make contribution to the intangible cultural heritage for Wutai Mountain.
