The present translation report was excerpted several chapters from a Japanese book,Masayoshi son's anxiousness, written by Onishi Takahiro, published by the Japanese Nikkei BP society of Masayoshi son in Japan on June 11,2015.This report takes the first chapter, the third chapter and the seventh chapter as the object of study.Masayoshi son,the hero of the book,is honored as the Cyber Mogul in the electronic age by American Business Week.As the leader of Japanese business operators,Masayoshi son has great concerns about the current situation of enterprises. The author,as well previously as a reporter, through his professional perspective, focused on some of the projects that Masayoshi son is now anxious about-the weakness of the domestic communications business, the downturn in the American communications business, and so on.The author disclosed a lot of information that is unknown to outsiders through the difficult ways of directly communicating with the parties, which was uneasily accessible to other people. The whole text is concise and precise, original and profound, vivid and accurate so that it is very suitable for translation.Choosing this text can not only enhance translation level, but also understand relevant enterprises, economy and financial industry. In 1970s,a group of translators with Vermeer,a German translator,as the key figure, put forward the Functionalist Skopos theory.Vermeer and Rice, the main advocates, regarded translation this behavior as a link for cultural exchange. That is to say, translation is based on the purpose of communication. In the process of learning Functionalist Skopos theory, the author of the present report is deeply shocked and convinced of this theory.Besides, when translating this Japanese book, the author plays a role as a bridge between different cultures. The main points of text translation are as follows.First of all, because the text is mostly used in the form of interviewing, and involves many characters and stories,it is particularly important to accurately translate the long sentences and ellipses in the text.Secondly,Theodore Savory(Theodore savory),a famous British translator(Theodore savory),once in the book of the art of translation(The Art of Translation),put forward six points, heatedly debated in the translation circle, one of which is the style of the translation, that is,the translation should reflect the style of the original work,or should the translator's own style? In the history of translation theory and translation practice home and abroad, most translation theorists and translators advocate that translation should reproduce the style of the original. The author mainly focuses on the hero's inner thoughts and emotional struggles in the difficult situation. This part of the text reads a sense of urgency to let the reader feel the pressure of the hero in that severe environment at that time.It is a difficult point not to lose the "Qi" in the process of translation and reproduce the original text to the utmost extent. The report is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, which briefly explains the purpose and significance of the translation practice;the second part is the introduction of translation practice content and the Skopos theory. It includes the introduction of the original author, the content of the translation, the characteristics of the original and the specific content of the Skopos theory;the third part is the explanation of the process of translation, including the explanation of the steps of preparation before translation, the actual translation, and the post translation examination, and the fourth part is a case study, which lists the specific long sentences in the original text,Ellipsis and some other special sentences, through the use of relevant translation theory to analyze and think;the fifth part is a summary of practice,in view of the shortcomings of the author in the process of translation,in order to provide guidance for future translation work.
