As one of the basic forms of relations among human life,cooperation has become a necessary force for survival and development,with the rapid development of social life,the role of cooperation will be more and more important,in the near future,it will become the mainstream of the world,with more fresh blood for the education system.In addition,with the increase difficulty of entrance examination for senior high school students,secondary vocational school begins to undertake more arduous responsibility,on the one hand,helps to alleviate pressure for the entrance of high school,and on the other hand,helps to convey technology talents for higher education,therefore,our country pays much more attention to the cultivation of vocational talents.At the same time,as an international language,the status of English is becoming more and more important under the trend of globalization.The demand of English level for secondary vocational school students is become higher and higher,but in fact,the English foundation of these students is relatively weak,they often feel confused about their learning and future,and lack of interest and initiative in learning.In this way,the traditional teaching is unable to meet the needs of modern secondary vocational students,and the group cooperative has come into being.By the methods of experiment,questionnaire and interview,this thesis chooses two orienteering classes for China Southern Airlines in the third grade and their English teacher from S school in Sichuan province as research target to do the experiment.According to the organization and analysis of data with SPSS software,there comes these following conclusions:First,the English Group Cooperative can improve vocational students' TOEIC ability,especially in listening and reading;Second,the English Group Cooperative can improve the vocational students' learning interest and learning initiative;Third,the more interests in learning,the higher the level of English reading is;Fourth,the more stronger the learning initiative is,the better TOEIC score is.According to the students' interviews,this thesis find out these reasons why the English Group Cooperative could improve vocational students' TOEIC ability,learning interest and learning initiative;combined with the teacher's interview,three kinds of challenges faced by teachers in this study are analyzed,and then puts forward some suggestions from aspects of English learning,students and teacher;finally,gives a related conclusion of this research,and according to the shortcomings,notices the needing improvement and future direction of Group Cooperative of English class in secondary vocational schools,which will provide some reference value for secondary vocational English teaching.
