With the increasing frequency of international exchanges, interpretation has gradually become an important communication bridge, and people's requirements for the quality of interpretation have also increased. As an important method of conference translation, the aim of consecutive interpreting is to translate the source language content completely and accurately in real time. However,it is difficult to understand and organize the source language information in a short time, and then to make a logically clear translation,so the research on the certain sentence reconstruction of the source language has attracted the attention of scholars. This is a practice report on the simulative Chinese-English interpreting based on the documentary "Looking for Crafts".Under the guidance of Communicative Translation Theory, this practical report starts with the lack of specific subject, loose sentence structure and difference in word order. It summarizes the problems encountered in the practice of interpretation and presents them in case analyses.Case analyses show that supplementing the appropriate subjects and applying passive sentences can help solve many problems caused by the lack of specific subject;adding conjunctive words and recombinating sentences can deal with the loose structures of sentences;adjusting the position of sentence components can handle word – order differences. The effective reconstruction of sentence pattern can not only convey the source language information more concisely, but also improve the speed of consecutive interpretation. Therefore,it is hoped that the research on sentence reconstruction strategies in the consecutive interpretation can provide some help and reference for the future study of Chinese-English interpreting.
