In this thesis, the present author, summing up her exercise in consecutive interpreting, studies consecutive interpretation skills based on the principles of communicative translation, advocated by Peter Newmark. Enumerating and reexamining some practical skills she acquired in her work, she tries to prove that principles of communicative translation are applicable to lucid consecutive interpreting.
