Stone tomb is a unique tomb form from Neolithic to Bronze Ages in southern Liaoning Province.The investigation of stone tomb has been carried out for decades and dozens of places have been found,which plays an important role in the tomb research in southern Liaoning.Based on the analysis of typical stone tomb,this paper divides stone tomb in southern Liaoning into two phases and five stages of development.This paper holds that stone tomb in southern Liaoning is distributed and developed from higher ridges to hilly valleys.Stone tomb body is the most popular in round tomb body.Burial rooms arrangement in stone tomb has been popular in three ways: single burial rooms arrangement,single row arrangement and multi-row arrangement.Burial rooms architecture changes from simplicity to complexity.In this paper,according to the arrangement of stone tomb body,stone tomb in southern Liaoning is divided into two types: A and B,and again divided into a and b subtypes according to the shape of tomb body.According to burial rooms structure,stone tomb in southern Liaoning is divided into six types,and A type is divided into four subtypes.On the basis of predecessors,this paper further demonstrates that Stone tomb should come from western Liaoning.The flow direction of Stone tomb in southern Liaoning was also discussed.It was believed that Stone tomb in southern Liaoning did not flow to other areas,but eventually disappeared in southern Liaoning.At the end of this paper,the social problems reflected by stone tomb in southern Liaoning are discussed.It is believed that the family management mode is adopted in southern Liaoning,which is a social management mode and a hierarchical and clustered management system.
