Self-esteem is the individual's understanding and evaluation of the whole self.Marital attitude represents the individual's perception of intimate relationship.Exploring the relationship between self-esteem and marital attitude is conducive to guiding individuals to establish a good intimate relationship and improve their physical and mental health.In this research,102 female postgraduates from Henan University and Zhengzhou University were selected by random sampling.The method of single-class implicit association test(SC-IAT),questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview was used to explore the status quo of female graduate students' self-esteem and marital attitudes,and the relationship between self-esteem and marital attitudes.The research is divided into two parts:Part 1 explores the self-esteem level of female graduate students and their marital attitudes by Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale(SES),the Marriage Attitude Scale(MAS)and the single-class implicit test,then explored the relationship among self-esteem level,explicit marital attitudes and implicit marital attitudes;part 2 explored what factors influenced the marital attitude of female graduate students through semi-structured interviews.Through the collation and analysis of the collected data,the following conclusions are drawn:Conclusion 1 The explicit marital attitudes of female graduate students has the significant difference in the place of residence;the general concept of marriage has significant differences in age and place of residence;self-marital expectation has significant differences in marital status;Implicit marital attitudes differ significantly in whether the only child.Conclusion 2 The explicit marital attitude of female graduate students is significantly correlated with the implicit marital attitude,but the correlation is low.Conclusion 3 The self-esteem level of female graduate students is significantly correlated with explicit marital,and the regression analysis results show that:the self-esteem has a good prediction effect on the explict marital attitudeConclusion 4 The self-esteem level of female graduate students is not significantly correlated with with the implicit marital attitude.Conclusion 5 The attitude towards marriage of female graduate students is influenced by marriage cognition,influences of others and personality characteristics.
