With the continuous development of education,various teaching methods have emerged,and Inquiry Teaching Method is one of them.In the new era,it has its own unique advantages and characteristics and with the constant development of Chinese language teaching today,the Inquiry-based Teaching Method also occupies a place in Chinese Teaching(as a foreign language)by virtue of its own advantages.This study will introduce the meaning,theoretical basis and characteristics of Inquiry Teaching in detail,conduct case analysis through the practical application of Inquiry Teaching Method in Intermediate Chinese Comprehensive Course,and propose teaching advice through the case study based on Inquiry Teaching.This study hopes to make certain contributions to the development of Inquiry-based Teaching Methods in Chinese Teaching(as a foreign language).This study is mainly divided into five parts.The first part elaborates the research background and the theoretical and practical significance of the research,and explains the research content and research methods.The second part is the literature review and theoretical basis.It mainly explains the research status at home and abroad,and elaborates the connotation,definition and characteristics of Inquiry Teaching Method,the psychology and education foundation as well as the design principle of Inquiry Teaching.The third part firstly analyzes the Class Five of International Exchange Center of Shenyang University from four aspects: students,textbooks,class types and classroom activities,and then conduct case analysis from four aspects: new words,grammar,text and practice.The fourth part reflects the teaching from four aspects and proposes corresponding teaching suggestions.The fifth part is a summary of the research results,and puts forward the shortcomings of the research.Through the method of Case Analysis,Observation and Interviewing,this study analyzes the application of Inquiry Teaching Method in the Intermediate Chinese Comprehensive Course.Based on the teaching reflection,it has obtained effective teaching suggestions.The author hopes to make a certain contribution to the development of Inquiry Teaching Method and Chinese Teaching(as a foreign language)through this research.
