Intermediate stage is a key stage in learning Chinese as a foreign language. The freshness of students’ has gradually faded after the accumulation of the primary stage and they have mastered the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing to some extent. How to overcome the phenomenon of fossilization and make a smooth transition to the advanced stage has become a difficult problem that in front of them.As a guarantee of learning, practice plays an important role and is advocated by scholars in the theory of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Recently the research about workbook compile has been attached great importance increasingly by both scholars and experts in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Comprehensive course is a main part among teaching Chinese as a foreign language courses, which involves pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, etc. It plays as a backbone in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. From the previous authorized studies, it can be easily concluded that research on the workbook compile during the intermediate stage of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is very limited.With the base of what we have discussed above and reference to the existing theoretical basis, we selected a representative of the development of Chinese language(second edition), intermediate comprehensive Ⅰ and the road to success, article 1, 2, as the research object in this paper. Using the method of statistics and comparison, from the practice topic quantity, types, content and layout level, we compared and analyzed two sets of teaching materials of exercises:In the introduction part, I firstly elaborated the research significance and the value of this article. I also elaborated the present situation of the research and,the literature review and research methods. And I also defined the scope and standards for related research.The second chapter, from the practice topic quantity, types, content, layout level to two sets of teaching materials was investigated.With reference to the existing practice writing theory, I analyzed two sets of teaching materials from multi-aspects to highlight the merits of the two sets of textbook exercises in all respects set.The third chapter exercises the usage of questionnaire analysis.Introduces the purpose of the questionnaire, the content of the objects, methods, respectively made of two materials results of analysis.In the fourth chapter is summary recommendations for the design of exercises of part, through the theoretical comparison and questionnaire results in two aspects,from the aspects of the topic quantity, types, content and layout level gives the author’s evaluation summary of two textbook exercises.Intermediate teaching practice to write some Suggestions and ideas, in order to intermediate Chinese as a foreign language textbook exercises after writing to make a small contribution.The fifth chapter is conclusion part, points out the deficiency of this article.
