The East Asian Tobunn Association is a very important institution in the history of Sino-Japanese relations in modern times.On the surface,it is the education and public opinion organ spontaneously organized by the Japanese people.In fact,it is a semi-official organization supported by the Japanese government.In the different periods,the East Asia Federation of literary societies has issued quite a lot of political and economic insights into Sino Japanese relations.The magazine,which is issued,provides a very important platform for ordinary Japanese people and high-level rulers to understand China.A thorough understanding of the activities and ideas of the East Asian Association of Literature and Culture is an entry point for studying Sino-Japanese relations at that time and for Japanese policy makers to formulate policies towards China.In response to China's policy,the East Asian Association for the Study of Literature and Culture had a cyclical change around September 18,that is,it advocated the preservation of China's cooperation with China before September 18,advocated the severe punishment of China and the acquisition of China's interests by force during September 18,and,after withdrawing from the League of Nations in1933,advocated the reunification of China against Europe and the United States.This change is ironic to China's diplomats,reflecting the appendage of the East Asian Tongwen Association to the Japanese government and military on foreign issues.
