Problems And Countermeasures Of Chinese Extracurricular Activities In Thai Vocational Schools

Classroom teaching and extracurricular activities both are the important parts of the Chinese teaching, especially in the non-target language context. Vocational colleges of Thailand are different from other general educations in train objectives, it aims to produce the applied and compound talents to meet the market demand, especially for professional talents in tourism and trade aspects, so it pays great attention to the cultivation of students’ practical ability. The development of extracurricular activities are very helpful to the Chinese teaching in Thailand vocational colleges, teachers can create an chance to help students to do a large number of input and output drills through the extracurricular activities more. Extracurricular activities not only provide students with a near real language environment to let students in the influence character by environment in traditional Chinese culture, but also help students to apply the knowledge of language in the classroom to the real work or life scenes, to acquire the language communicative competences. But the reality is a lot of vocational colleges don’t pay attention to the Chinese teaching in Thailand,and Chinese teachers ignore the extracurricular activities, Chinese-teaching effects were not well in Thailand vocational colleges.So first of all, I put forward the importance of extracurricular activities in Chinese teaching in Vocational colleges, based on some related theories of Chinese extracurricular activities, meanwhile, investigate Chinese teachers and students to understand the situation of Chinese teaching and the development of Chinese extracurricular activities in vocational college through the combination of questionnaire and interview. Analyzing the current situations and problems of Chinese extracurricular activities in Thailand Vocational Colleges through the data. And then, find out the problems and put forward the relevant solutions and suggestions.Because there are few studies about Chinese extracurricular activities in China, and it is mainly focused on the study of Chinese extracurricular activities in the context of the target language. Therefore, the investigation and study for Chinese extracurricular activities of Thailand vocational colleges is the innovation of this article. I hope this article can provide a reference for the Chinese extracurricular activities of the whole of Thailand and other countries, and can cause more attention to the study of Chinese extracurricular activities in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
