At present,the ecological and cultural environment draws more and more attention in the international community,and the improvement of people's living standards has brought about an increase in tourism demand.Under the dual effect of both,sustainable tourism is on the rise.However,as an authoritative organization of sustainable tourism,the Global Sustainable Tourism Council lacks a systematic introduction in China.This translation report is based on the translation of Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria,Certification&Case Studies which talks about the Global Sustainable Tourism Council(GSTC),including an introduction to the GSTC,the GSTC standards,the GSTC recognized standards,and the specific cases.The translation of this text is of great significance for improving the awareness of sustainable tourism and GSTC domestically,and promoting market access for those sustainable tourism standards.Meanwhile,it can also serve as a reference for future translations of such texts.The report includes a general introduction of the project,the specific translation processes,the case analysis,and the final conclusion of the translation practice.According to the characteristics of source text as information text,this report focuses on analyzing the key points and difficulties from the aspects of accuracy,readability and style,and summarizes the key points that should be paid attention to in the translation of this type of text and corresponding strategies.In addition,the report also lists the Chinese names of many sustainable tourism organizations in the translation,which can serve as a reference for the translation of such Words.
