Research On Media Transformation Of Materials In The Design

Materials play a very important role in art design.In Eaton's opinion,only when we realize that the world around us is full of textured environment with various expressions can designers better create works with unique material sense.This paper attempts to examine "material" from the perspective of "medium",and the connection between "material" and design theme."material" is the materialized presentation of designers' thoughts.In the first chapter,the basic concepts of design materials and material awareness,media and media,and the transformation of materials and media are expounded theoretically.Designers should not only master the basic characteristics and processing characteristics of materials,but also understand that materials are unique media with expressions.From this point of view,the material as the "medium" is the material "carrier" to convey the designer's ideas.Only by paying attention to the expression of the material's sensory characteristics and proper use of materials can design works be endowed with "life".The second chapter takes multiple "themes" as the entry point,focusing on how designers use a variety of different "materials" to express different understandings of the same "theme"."False mountain stone","tree" or "water",those seemingly have only one image "theme",but designers can rely on different "materials",with their own different "perspective",to show different "schema" and unique ideological connotation."Theme",through the transformation of "material" as the medium,presents multiple "expressions" of schema.The third chapter takes a variety of "materials" as the entry point,focusing on how designers use the same "materials" to show the different texture,concept and significance of "materials"."Ceramic","metal","wood" and other traditional materials,designers through a variety of modern technology "media" conversion,to achieve the same "material" of multiple heterogeneous presentation.This provides a new perspective and design method for art design.The fourth chapter mainly expounds the inspiration to my design and creation after summarizing the previous three chapters' material research.I recorded my ideas and material experiments in the process of practice,as well as my attempts to achieve comprehensive expression of works through multiple media.
