The Form Conversion Of "Things"

As the boundary of materialization is much more clearly nowadays,I wonder whether we should rethink the cognition of things as well as the relationship between things and art.As we all know,any real aesthetic experience can not be separated from the material factors.For example,there are stones in architecture,clay in sculpture,and pigment in oil painting.While art can be presented by objects,objects can also realize the transformation of multiple attributes by means of art.In the process of artistic creation,an original thing,through the subjective abstraction of people,can gradually evolve into various forms of media.Then through the combination and reconstruction of media these things transform into works with artistic values.And finally the work produces a connection resonance with the audiences,which is to obtain the spiritual level of interoperability.Different contexts in the process of artistic creation give different attributes to objects.When an object exists in artistic creation as a medium,it has abundant diversity.With the continuous development of human civilization,an increasing number of new materials have been found and the definition of media has gradually expanded.Art creation in different periods has different recognition and application of media.As a result,art creation has distinct characteristics of the times.In the early stages,solid media,mainly stone,wood,steel and so on,were in use.But with the rapid development of science and technology,the use of many new media began to become possible.Some objects which could not be controlled in the early stages began to enter the controllable scope.For instance,light,water,fog and other media were gradually used by artists.Compared with traditional media,these media have more affluent possibilities and they greatly expand the expressional language of artistic creation.This paper will take the medium of light as an example to explore the relationship between objects and artistic creation.
