From 1927 to 1937,it was known as the "golden decade" of capitalist development in modern China.During this period,China's political,economic and cultural construction made outstanding achievements.Shanghai is not only the center of political,economic and cultural development in this period,but also the center of music development in modern China.This study takes social music education in Shanghai from1297 to 1937 as the research object.On the basis of sorting out the general context of social music education in Shanghai,it makes a theoretical discussion on the origin of the development of social music education in Shanghai,the implementation and development of social music education in Shanghai,and the characteristics and influence of social music education in Shanghai.In this paper,the social music education in Shanghai from 1927 to 1937 is studied.Based on a comprehensive review and summary of historical documents,the research is divided into four aspects.Firstly,from the educational background of social music education in Shanghai and the ideological background of social music education in Shanghai,the origin of social music education from 1927 to 1937 was studied.It can be seen that music education in primary and secondary schools,professional music education and social music education in Shanghai during this period developed steadily under the promotion of the government and the promotion of musicians.The ideas of "learning western music" and "reviving national music","aesthetic education" and "new music" in the 1930 s all provided for the development of social music education in Shanghai from 1927 to 1937.Source of thought.Secondly,from two aspects of government-led social music education and folk autonomous social music education,this paper studies Shanghai social music education as "music skill education".Among them,the government-led social music education activities are mainly carried out in amateur schools run by the government,as well as in social education institutions such as public education centers and popular tea gardens.The folk autonomous social music education is mainly carried out in social music groups.Thirdly,it studies the social music education as a "political propaganda tool",and studies the causes of such social music education,as well as the development of such social music teaching activities.Finally,the characteristics and influence of social music education in Shanghai from 1927 to 1937 are summarized.Itcan be seen that the social music education in Shanghai during this period has the characteristics of "highlighting the social function of music education","popularizing educational methods and objects","dual promotion of government and folk".At the same time,Shanghai's social music education in the implementation and development process not only trained many professional music talents for our country,improved the aesthetic ability and music literacy of the Shanghai people,but also made outstanding contributions to the spread of patriotism and national salvation spirit among the Shanghai people on the eve of the outbreak of the comprehensive anti-Japanese war.Shanghai's social music education is an important part of Shanghai's music education.A thorough study of Shanghai's social music education is of great importance to the overall grasp of Shanghai's music education.At the same time,Shanghai's social music education made many achievements from 1927 to1937,which played an important role in this period.The study of Shanghai's social music education from1927 to 1937 can provide an important supplement for the study of the history of modern Chinese music education.
