This text is the third chapter of Prospects for Distributed Energy System in China unveiled by the IEA in 2017.In this chapter, the descriptions are mostly about the current situation of distributed energy in China, the main challenges and the potential advantages.Distributed energy remains a revolution in the field of energy, which brings us the technological innovation as well as the changes of energy's ways of supply.Currently, there are still many contradictions and conflict in China's energy and resource. As energy gains more attention day by day,the study of this kind of material has its practical and strategic significance. Therefore, the translator sums up the specific problems and difficult points that appeared during the process of translation and illustrates the methods as well as the strategies that the translator used to address these problems.Skopos Theory is mainly used in the process of translation. The first chapter mainly introduces the translation project in detail and analyzes the practical significance of the project. The second chapter mainly analyzes the translation process in detail, including pre-translation preparation, translation process and revision of translation. The third chapter mainly deals with the translation theory-Skopos Theory and English of science and technology(EST),which focuses on the current research status of Skopos Theory and its guiding significance for this translation practice. The fourth chapter is the key chapter of the report. The author divides it into two sections. The first section focuses on the translation of English passive sentences in the English of science and technology(EST).The second section mainly deals with the translation of long and complex sentences in English of science and technology. Also there is a brief introduction to the development of this theory both in china and abroad, and how this theory guides the translation. The translation of English passive sentences and long and complex sentences is given priority and significance. The Author combined the theory with practice, accompanying a wealth of case analysis to make a comprehensive analysis for the translation of this chapter. The fifth chapter concludes the conclusion and afterthoughts of this practice.
