The Chinese-English Interpreting Report On The Proposal Of The Management And Technology Used In Shared Bicycles

This is a Chinese-English interpreting report,which is based on the author’s interpreting experience on the proposal of solutions used in solving the parking problem of shared bicycles.This proposal was given by Li Wei,the leader of the working group,who works in urban management department of local government.This working group was organized by the local government and aimed at solving the parking problem of shared bicycles in Nanning.The manager of Shenzhen YouXinTong company and his technical group came to Nanning on November 17th,2017 to make face to face exchanges with working group.Commissioned by Nanning YiWuXin translation company,the author was responsible for the interpretation of the proposal because of the participance of foreign member of Shenzhen YouXinTong company.The report mainly includes four chapters.In the first and second chapters,the author describes the task information and preparation respectively.In the third chapter,the author focuses on the application of the guiding theory,the interpretation for EST,methods applied in the interpreting,such as addition,omission,recasting and conversion.The feedback and summary,which is based on this experience,are included in the last section.In author’s opinion,in order to complete a good job in the interpretation,the interpreters are required to master not only proficiency in bilingual language ability but also the wide range of knowledge in various fields.Adequate preparation is essential and the interpreters must be able to grasp the rhythm of speakers and adapt to different styles of speech.Interpreters must fully master the skills of prediction in interpretation and other necessary skills,which can help them to make quick analysis of information and reduce the time in information processing.Interpreters should learn to compare and summarize the characteristics of different styles and attach enough importance to each opportunity to improve their skills.Finally,interpreters should have good psychological quality and learn to alleviate the stage fright and tension through appropriate ways。...
