In recent years,an increasing number of foreign companies have set up joined ventures in China,and a large number of advertising promotional texts have been invested to open up the market,which makes advertising translation more and more significant.“Promotional Documents of Chengdu Armani Apartment " is a promotion project for domestic and foreign customers of Chengdu Armani Apartment.There are many written translation documents of the advertisement,including the author's translation project of “Chengdu Armani Apartment Promotional Documents”.Taking C-E translation of “Chengdu Amani Apartment Promotional Documents” as an example in this report,the author aims at exploring methods to improve the quality of C-E translation of similar advertising texts.Through the analysis of the original text and parallel texts,and based on the author's practice,the author summarizes the characteristics of advertising text in this report: accuracy;concision,and the beauty of linguistics and phonology.Accuracy is the most basic requirement of advertising text;concision is the key element of quality assurance,the beauty of linguistics and phonology is an effective means of promotion.At the same time,the problems of neglect of advertising themes,and the eisegesis should be avoided just for excessive pursuit of the beauty of language and phonology.This report includes the introduction to the source text,the description of the whole translation process,and the analysis of the difficulties in translation and the corresponding solutions.In the whole process of translation,the author finds that the terminology,long and complicated sentences and the voice translation are the main difficulties of this translation project.In view of these specific translation difficulties,under the guidance of Skopos,the author employs some corresponding translation techniques in this C-E translation of advertising texts: In order to make the translation easier to accept,the author applies the techniques of splitting and recombination in the long and complicated sentences.Based on the characteristics of Chinese and English,the active voice is translated either actively or passively according to the contextual situation.In the course of this translation practice,the author summarizes the abovetranslation techniques,hoping to provide some reference and help for translators of C-E advertisement texts.
