| In recent years,the modernization of legal system in China has been advancing by leaps and bounds with the deepening of legal sense,and the exchanges of legal culture with foreign countries are increasing under the guidance and encouragement of the “Go global” strategy.Naturally,the legal translation has become particularly important.This report takes the Articles of Association of Raybo Biotech Co.,Ltd.as the object of study,aiming at exploring how to translate the legal texts well.This report is composed of four parts: the project description,translation process,the translation difficulties and their solutions,as well as project evaluation and the suggestions for legal text translation.The translation difficulties of terminology,long and difficult sentences and non-subject sentences encountered in Chinese-English translation of the Articles of Association of Raybo Biotech Co.,Ltd are mainly analyzed and corresponding solutions to these problems are found out under the guidance of the Functional Equivalence Theory.Through the analysis of the cases,elaborating the problems met in the text translation,and introducing how to solve them from lexical and syntactic aspects,the author summarizes some practical translation techniques in Chinese-English translation of legal texts: firstly,literal translation and application of functional equivalents can be most advisable in translating legal terminologies,thus their translation could be faithful to the original content and serious to their professionalization;secondly,amplification and conversion are feasible to be used to cope with the problems about long and difficult sentences and non-subject sentences translation,so as to be faithful to the original text and make the version smooth and clear.The author hopes that the strategies and techniques summarized in the translation report can be used as references for translators of legal text translation. |
