Since 2016,the bike sharing in China has suddenly reached fever pitch, with bikes of various colors everywhere in the streets.Compared with the public bicycles at abroad, the bike sharing is the intelligent service without parking piles featured by using two-dimension code to unlock,GPS positioning and mobile APP billing. The source text excerpted from A Feast of the Sharing Economy—Taking the Bike Sharing as an Example written by Lin Chen et al.discusses some hot topics about the bike sharing. The author hopes that the translation practice can provide referential significance for the development of the bike sharing at abroad.Under the guidance of Newmark's text typology, the report explores the C-E translation strategies of texts in social sciences. It is made up of four chapters except the introduction and the conclusion.Chapter One is the task description which includes the introduction of the source text, features of the source text, and the research background and significance.Chapter Two describes the task process, which mainly introduces preparations before translation, translation process, and quality control.Chapter Three is the case analysis, the most important part of the report, which mainly discusses the translation strategies and methods of informative texts from lexical, syntactic and discourse levels based on Newmark's text typology.Chapter Four makes a summary of the experience and lessons of translation as well as the unsolved problems. It is hoped that the report can provide certain references for the future translation of texts in social sciences.
