This paper mainly adopts the document examination and text analysis method,and takes "the prefaces and postscripts of The Analects of Confucius in Song dynasty" as the research object,analyzing it from three aspects:philological value,hermeneutic value and implication of literary theory.The main part of this paper is divided into three chapters and two appendices.The first chapter mainly explores the philological value of the prefaces and postscripts of The Analects of Confucius in Song dynasty,which are divided into two parts:annotators and the annotations.In this paper,the author makes a textual research on the relevant information such as the title and signature of individual annotations which are still doubtful.and at the same time excavates the factors closely related to the annotator's family history and writing reasons of the The Analects of Confucius in Song dynasty.From the aspect of annotation,the prefaces and postscripts of The Analects of Confucius in Song Dynasty are mainly analyzed to record the writing process of annotation,the compiling style and the version circulation,so as to obtain a more accurate understanding of author and books.The second chapter focuses on the hermeneutic value of the prefaces and postscripts of The Analects of Confucius in Song dynasty.From two aspects of the internal interpretation and external evaluation,this paper intends to delineate the role and significance of prefaces and postscripts in the Analects of Confucius.In the internal interpretation part,It mainly discusses the revelation and refining of the preface and postscript to the main contents,as well as the comments on the annotations carried in the preface and postscript,so as to realize the "synopsis" and "criticism" functions of the preface and postscript.In the second part,it focuses on the social ethos of interpretation of classics reflected by the prefaces and postscripts in the background of the development of The Analects of Confucius in Song Dynasty:Criticizing the triviality of the Analects of Confucius in the Han Dynasty;Pursuing the spirit of self-achievement:Extensively and slowly learning,and refining knowledge:Combining learning with practice.On the basis of the first two chapters,the third chapter will further analyze the literary theory implication of the preface and postscript of The Analects of Confucius in Song dynasty.Through the recognition of the classic status of The Analects of Confucius and the admiration of sage's neo-confucianism,the paper summarizes the tendencies of the times of advocates of classicism in the preface and postscript.Finally,combining with the prefaces and postscripts,it makes a case study of Zhu Xi's theory and explain the ideological imprints of the worship of Confucian classics in his literature and art theory which combines literature and Taoism.In addition,elaborates the artistic features of the prefaces and postscripts of The Analects of Confucius in Song dynasty,which embodies the parallel style and prose combination in language form,and the combination of Neo-Confucianism content and literary form.The appendix part is the statistical tables of the prefaces and postscripts of The Analects of Confucius in the Song Dynasty and the existing prefaces and postscripts of The Four Books.
