In recent years, with the increasingly frequent tourism exchanges between China and Portugal, the need for translation of tourism texts of Portuguese-speaking countries is also on the rise.In May,2018,the author participated in the website translation project of Monte de Lua,a cultural landscape management company in Sintra, whose content is mainly introducing the magnificent palaces and castles in the site area. This report is based on the part of A Guide to the Sintra Cultural Landscape translated by the author and guided by the Skopos theory of German functionalism.First, the report analyzes the stylistic features of the original text, which belongs to the information text with vocative function. The original text is presented with plain and objective language, involving a large number of historic facts and proper nouns. When translating, the translator should pay attention to the transformation of language style on the basis of accurately conveying the original text information.Second,in the core part of the report, the author summarizes the problems encountered in terms of lexical level, syntactic level and discourse level, including proper nouns, architectural terms, static phrases led by "with",participle phrases as adverbials and long sentences.Meanwhile, the corresponding translation strategies are proposed on the basis of Skopos theory, including transliteration and information retrieval, annotation, verbalization, addition of conjunctions and conversion to covert coherence.Besides, equal emphasis should be placed on the polishing and rendering of the text. Finally, the author makes a conclusion based on the translation process and puts forward some suggestions, aiming at making up for the shortcomings of the domestic research on tourism translation between China and Portugal, and providing some reference for the translation of architectural tourist texts.
